Pressure Controlled System for IPAL technology implementation with Power Amplifier Module, DSP and Sensing Device
The IpalMod is the hardware/software platform provided by Powersoft to implement the IPAL technology, a fully functional solution to overcome limitations of traditional transducers and setting a new state of the art for low frequency applications.
The IPAL approach allows increasing significantly the mains input to acoustic output efficiency path through a full boundary conditions processing, and can be used in a number of low frequency applications such as very high power and energy efficient subwoofers, steerable low frequency arrays, very low distortion high SPL systems, low frequency noise and standing waves removal.
IPAL based amplifier/loudspeaker systems offer unprecedented acoustic performances and control over the sonic performance of the system, regardless of acoustic load and conditions, more than double Output SPL capability for the same driver size with respect to any other conventional design and an extreme overall efficiency of the amplifier-loudspeaker system.
The IpalMod consists in:
- a powerful single-channel amp module able to deliver up to 8000 W
- a Zero Latency DSP
- a differential pressure sensing device
- optional interface board with serial networking connector (RS485)
- software for full remote programming, diagnostic and monitoring.
What is an IPAL compatible loudspeaker
IpalMod can work with standard transducers, but maximum performances are obtained with specifically designed woofers: Powersoft has already cooperated with major loudspeakers manufacturers to develop IPAL integrated products available in the market.
